What we're looking at is the platform-level performance where the CPU and motherboard cost around £250. Sure, the comparison Asus board is dearer, but its performance is indicative of any well-optimised Z370.
AMD has the lead in multi-threaded benchmarks, to the tune of 20 per cent or so, due to the presence of SMT, but Intel does better for light-load programs.
The bottom line is that both platforms will sail through everyday computing with consummate ease.
