Benchmarks: Power Draw and Battery Life

Is battery life really an important criterion among users of 17in gaming laptops? That's debatable, however the ROG G752VS's configuration does raise some interesting points. In using a G-Sync display, the system can't employ Nvidia Optimus technology - the two features remain mutually exclusive, hence the Intel IGP is deactivated and the GTX 1070 is utilised at all times.

Such a configuration doesn't bode well for longevity, and Asus's large 88Wh battery managed less than four hours in our video-rundown test. That's probably more than most people expected, but not enough to be considered long-lasting by today's standards.
