Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
There's nothing out of the ordinary with regards to temperatures, and though the laptop does kick out a good amount of heat from its various vents when gaming, the chassis doesn't appear to get too hot and bothered.
Fan noise is more of a mixed bag. We like the fact that Asus keeps a lid on things at full tilt - the fans don't turn into jet engines when gaming - but we do think the GL552VW could be quieter when idle. There's a constant hum at all times and while it's unlikely to perturb headset-clad gamers, it could be off-putting if you're looking for a quiet workhorse.
