Benchmarks: Gaming
Asus's decision to go with discrete Nvidia graphics suggests that the N550JK may be able to dabble in a little light gaming. Our benchmark results are encouraging, with almost 3,000 3DMarks intimating that the GeForce GTX 850M is a good step up from a basic Intel IGP, and an average of over 30 frames per second in Aliens vs. Predator proving that gaming is within reach.

Two other titles - BioShock Infinite and Total War: Rome II - were also run at the laptop's native 1080p resolution and both are perfectly playable. You'll want to dial quality settings down from their maximum in order to maintain smooth gameplay, and of course some of today's most demanding titles won't be so forgiving, but the N550JK's GTX 850M graphics do have potential and could be ideal for playing through your back catalogue.
