Memory Tests

Remember that 648FX has a single-channel memory controller. That means no dual-channel goodness to feed the 3.2 Extreme Edition. It's the Area51-m's biggest platform failing, the DDR400 and decent timings being driven by 648FX seeking to limit its effect on performance. Pifast first.

Pifast

If the graph seems strange, here's why.

Sciencemark 2.0 Latency

Eek, it takes more than twice as long as the AMD platforms to go out to main memory. A single-channel memory controller won't help feed the P4 once the transfer has started, here's confirmation.

Sciencemark 2.0 Bandwidth

It's supremely efficient (91%) but the lack of another channel will definitely hurt performance. CPU biased performance next.
