Benchmarks: Power Draw and Battery Life
Truth be told, we were worried about the high-res display taking its toll on battery life, but the results aren't all that bad. This clearly is a marked improvement for Aorus, whose X7 v2 managed a terrible run time of just 144 minutes.
To gauge real-world longevity, we loop a 720p movie clip with 50 per cent screen brightness and all wireless radios disabled. In this scenario, the X3 Plus managed to keep going for just over four-and-a-half hours. That's nothing to write home about - today's optimised Ultrabooks can clock in excess of 10 hours - but it's not a bad return for a gaming laptop of this ilk.
