Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
For a 13.9in laptop with such high-end hardware, the temperature readings look impressive. However, the numbers don't tell the full story. A CPU temperature of 66ºC under load is very healthy, but the Aorus X3 is throttling to keep heat levels down to a desired level - as soon as it approaches 70ºC, it dials down to 2.9GHz.
We experienced no such throttling on the GPU side of things, and it's interesting to see Aorus take an aggressive stance on temperature. As a result, the X3 Plus is practically silent during light tasks, and though it does become louder and warm to the touch during more demanding activity, it doesn't instantly exhibit the jet-engine acoustics we come to expect from such powerful laptops. The X3 Plus still gets loud, mind, and you'll definitely hear it when you're gaming, but it can also be quiet during everyday use. More to the point, it's rarely deafening.
