With dual 2.5in bays and an mSATA slot, the Vortex GT would recently have been considered highly flexible in terms of storage options. However, it doesn't offer support for the newer, faster M.2 standard, and consequently can't take advantage of the latest drives on the market.

The Vortex GT's Kingston HyperX 3K SSD is fast, but it can't keep up with the Toshiba M.2 SSD in MSI's machine.
