Benchmarks: Battery Life
We have recently updated our test methodology to incorporate the new PCMark 10 Battery Profile benchmarks. Three tests are performed; Office, which intermittently uses the writing, web browsing and video conferencing workloads from the main PCMark 10 benchmark; Video, which loops a 1080p full-screen movie file for the duration; and Gaming, which uses the common Fire Strike test to stress the GPU until the battery is drained.
Given its relatively-small 45Wh battery, the ThinkBook 13s puts in a solid showing, delivering almost 10 full hours of runtime in the office test. Getting through a full day's work ought to be no problem, and the Rapid Charge battery is an added bonus.
