Storage evaluation



Here's where laptop drives are usually shown up. Note the excellent score posted by the Rock Xtreme Ti. It's down to running 2 60GB 7,200RPM drives in RAID0. Not the greatest setup for reliability. Fantastic speed, however, matching a desktop drive's performance.



4,200RPM spin speed means relatively high access time, as well.



Both laptops are a ways behind the desktop motherboard's performance. Kind of hard to appreciate why.
