Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
Core i9 and RTX 2070 in a chassis measuring less than 19mm thick isn't straightforward. We've already touched on the fluctuating GPU frequency under load, and we can confirm that the CPU throttles down to around 3GHz when the going gets tough.
Keeping the chips cool evidently isn't easy, resulting in a hot chassis and noticeable noise. It's a tad too warm for on-lap use, and though the fans are reasonably quiet when the system is idling, they become quite loud after just a short stint of gaming.
