Gigabyte's Aero 14 is the first Kaby Lake laptop to feature in these graphs and the Core i7-7700HQ processor is showing its strength. The quad-core chip's ability to scale to 3.8GHz puts it second only to an overclocked Aorus machine in the PiFast test and it leads the way in multi-threaded Cinebench examination, too. Why hasn't the Aero 14 topped the Handbrake chart? Our logs reveal that the chip occasionally dialled-down all-core frequency from 3.4GHz to 3.2GHz during that demanding test.
