Benchmarks: Power Draw and Battery Life

There were fears that the 4K display would take a massive toll on battery life, but the Gigabyte P35X v6 does reasonably well thanks in part to Nvidia Optimus technology ensuring that the GTX 1070 is turned off when not in use. Our battery rundown test entails looping a high-definition movie clip with 50 per cent screen brightness and all wireless radios disabled, and the P35X v6 managed to keep going for a little over five hours.
