The CATALYST 7.7 Final drivers give the HD 2600 XT a small speed boost. Despite this, at 1280x1024, 4x AA, 8x AF, the Zalman Fan edition still gives less than half the frame rate of the Foxconn 8600 GT-256.
The HD 2600 XT based cards actually close the gap a little when moving to 1600x1200 and disabling anti-aliasing, but the faster HIS Radeon HD 2600 XT IceQ Turbo still trails the 8600 GT by over 25%.
