Tom Clancy's The Division

One of the biggest games of 2016, Tom Clancy's The Division is set in New York City in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic. Explore the city as you've never seen it before, in full 4K glory.

Back on firm DX11 territory. In previous GTX 1080 reviews we have mentioned the inability of any card to hit that desired 60fps at 4K. Scaling isn't great with two GTX 1070 cards but still good enough such that no GTX 1080 is able to come close. It does seem a shame that one needs to spend Ā£850 to achieve this quality and speed, however.

The average frame rate jumps up nicely, as shown by the penultimate graph, yet there are dips in the benchmark section that make the Division feel a tad choppy. Those dips are characterised by a 99th percentile rating that is similar to a single GTX 1070 card. Indeed, the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X scores a lower (better) 27.62ms in the same analysis. Bottom line here is that while the average frame rate is nice and high, a GTX 1080 is very nearly as good.
