Rise of the Tomb Raider
Awesome adventure, mind-boggling puzzles, intense action and breathtaking landscapes. We all know what to expect when Lara Croft sets out on a new mission, and Rise of the Tomb Raider is arguably one of the finest installments in this hugely popular series.
It's amazing what a patch can do. Go back a week and scaling in Tomb Raider was also negative, following on from what we see in Hitman. Indeed, the 4K results showed average frame rate drop from a single card's 44fps to 33fps. The patch, which was released on July 8, and tested here, adds multi-GPU support for DX12.
And it works in near-perfect fashion, because we see almost 2x the scaling at QHD and UHD resolutions. Let's hope for the same in Hitman's case.
99th percentile results show that the slowest one per cent of frames has a cut-off of 28.26ms, or 35fps over a full second. 4K runs nice and smooth for the most part.
