Image Quality Performance
The IQ performance graph for the second XT is nothing different from that of the first, so I've saved regenerating that. XT first, so you can refresh your memory.ATI Radeon X700 XT

ATI Radeon X700 PRO

Whereas the XT wouldn't apply 16X anisotropic filtering, the X700 PRO was happy to do so. 2X is free in the simple UT2003 case, 4X drops off slightly and 8X and 16X show off their highly angle-adaptive nature by being applied to a bare minimum of the UT2003 test frames. On both boards, the performance hit for each mode is broadly similar.
Anti-aliasing performance drop-offs are similar on both boards, the absolute different in performance between the two the result of the graphics card's engine speeds. Remember, the graph for the XT is from the original board, so both boards in this test use the same driver.
