To give users a better idea of the effects of resolution and AntiAliasing/Anisotropic Filtering, I've chosen to expand the benchmark configuration to include the 1280x1024 resolution. The increase in midrange TFT, usually with a native 1280x1024 resolution, has placed greater emphasis on testing this setting.

Without further ado, 3DMark03.

The ASUS AX800XT PCIe card will be represented by the black line. The percentage lead over a GeForce 6800 GT and RADEON X800 PRO grows as the benchmark becomes more card-limited in nature. Strong performance from all three cards. 6500-7000 marks is what the previous generation's best, a RADEON 9800 XT, scores at 1024x768. In an indirect way, it shows the power of the current crop of GPUs.

Adding in 4X AA and 8X AF, via the benchmark's settings, causes a slight convergence in scores. Still, the 16-pipe PCIe X800 XT hovers at around 20% above an AGP X800 Pro's results.
