Far Cry, Painkiller

Far Cry

Vendor: UBI Soft - (Website)
API: DirectX 9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix PS1.1, PS1.4, PS2.0 with PS2.0 forced

Far Cry

Far Cry, on the other hand, plays better on ATI hardware. That's especially true with image enhancement is added to the mix. According to the results obtained in our GPU-bashing Research benchmark, ATI's XT PE is over 20% faster at the highest quality setting. Of course, that doesn't take into account speed increases fron running Shader Model 3.0 or SM2.0b path for NVIDIA and ATI cards, respectively.

Painkiller

Vendor: People Can Fly - (Website)
API: DX9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix, unknown versions

Painkiller

Painkiller is fast on every card. The flyby doesn't tax AMD Athlon Model 3800+ and NV40/R420 combinations.
