Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory performance
The Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory benchmark returns a very similar delta in performance as we saw in the Far Cry testing. The FZ Cool sits atop the performance graph, with the other X1950 Pros coming in just a few FPS behind. Once again we see that the GeForce 7900GS has difficulty in keeping up with the X1950 Pro, coming in more than 10FPS slower than the GeCube, when running the 1,280 x 1,024 test without HDR.
With HDR enabled the delta remains the same, but the framerates drop considerably. All the cards manage a reasonable average framerate, with the GeCube still holding the top slot with just under 50FPS. The performance difference between the X1950 Pros shrinks to just a couple of FPS, though; with the XFX GeForce 7900GS trailing behind the slowest card by around 10%.
