Serious Sam: SE, Unreal Tournament 2003

Serious Sam: SE

Vendor: Croteam - (Website)
API: DirectX 8.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: No pixel shaders

Serious Sam: SE

The driver optimisations give very little extra performance in Serious Sam: SE. The XFX is comfortably ahead of the X800 PRO, the 6800 Ultra GPU doing what's needed to open up the gap, to be expected given the architecture. The X800 PRO has some resource usage issues in SS:SE, limiting its performance somewhat. No such problems with the XFX.

Unreal Tournament 2003

Vendor: Epic - (Website)
API: DX8.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: PS1.1, some limited PS1.4 shaders to render terrain in less passes

UT2003

The XFX is able to overtake the X800 PRO at the upper setting, but there's very little in it throughout with the X800 PRO being faster overall. Unreal Tournament 2003 is a test where the 6800 Ultra's architectural advantages don't make themselves known.
