Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory v1.05 performance

We see the same trend in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Framebuffer limitations do play a small part at 1920x1200 but the Foxconn card is still faster than the ASUS 640MiB.

We can also see the definite advantage of the XFX's 1.5GHz shader speed, especially in the HDR test. The two cards' clocks core and memory clocks are similar enough - 575/1800 vs 580/1800 - but the 300MHz extra shader speed brings about an 11 per cent performance advantage.

The overclocked 8800 GTS cards, however, are still no match for a bone-stock GeForce 8800 GTX, and, really, the performance is more akin to Radeon X1950 XTX and GeForce 7950 GX2. [advert]
