Quite some way off the 9800 XT's benchmarks, even with inferior IQ.
I'm reticent to include any benchmarks with AA or AF employed. XGI's drivers just don't seem ready. Anisotropic filtering, at 4X, showed a marked improvement over standard Trilinear. 4X FSAA, though, sought to blur the image significantly. In view of this, a couple of games were re-run with 4X AF used at 1600x1200.
The question is, are we comparing apples to apples here?. Image quality analysis suggests otherwise. The benchmark consists of the Antalus flyby which shows massive IQ gains with anisotropic filtering used. We're sad to report that ATI's 4XAA produced a fundamentally better picture than XGI's; that goes some way to describing the above graph.
XGI's card, with respect to image quality, does a little better in Call of Duty. That also translates into sub-9800 XT scores.
