Return to Castle Wolfenstein, using the Enemy Territory expansion pack, is another Q3-based game that uses OpenGL.
The 9600XT has a really hard time in this test, pointing to driver issues rather than a deficiency in the GPU itself. The fact it's unable to run the test at 1600x1200 points to that. The 5900XT remains usefully faster than the 5700 Ultra in this test, its extra performance in texturing and memory bandwidth easily able to mask the clock difference.
