1080p - Tomb Raider

Homepage: tombraider.com | Publisher: Square Enix | Developer: Crystal Dynamics

The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot has received critical acclaim and, with the aid of Crystal Dynamics' game engine, helps bring Lara Croft to life with stunning character models and believable worlds. We run a 60-second benchmark using the Ultra-quality preset.

There is another side to the how-much-power-do-you-need argument. If you're playing at 1080p, the level of performance on offer from these cards could be considered overkill. Even a two-year-old GTX 680 has no trouble churning out Tomb Raider with Ultra Quality settings.

None of the GPUs skip a beat in this title.

And yeah, if you look closely enough, the newer cards do run a tiny bit smoother, but you'd do very well to notice the difference.
