4K - Total War: Rome II

Providing an excellent mix of strategy and action, Total War: Rome II's epic turn-based gameplay can swallow hours of your life. Our 60-second benchmark uses the built-in Ultra preset at 4K.

Total War: Rome II has taken a liking to the Maxwell architecture. The GTX 900-series duo top the chart at 4K, and EVGA's overclocked card is snapping at the heels of GTX 980.

The higher the percentage, the better the experience. There's hardly anything between stock-clocked GTX 980 and overclocked GTX 970. Considering the price gulf between the two, it's the latter that's looking particularly tasty.

And EVGA's overclock does make a difference in the right scenario. In this game, the slowest one per cent of frames produced by the FTW card are quicker than that of the stock-clocked GTX 980.
