In Far Cry, the XFX's overclocking clearly does give it a few extra FPS compared to the Foxconn running at standard clocks. Neither can match ATi's Radion X1900XT, although the latter's lead isn't quite so great at 1,920 x 1,200.
As we've come to expect in Quake 4, Nvidia takes the lead over ATi, in this case by around 10 per cent. Again, the XFX's faster clocks give it a marginal advantage over the Foxconn.
The Radeon X1900XT has the measure of Nvidia's 7950GT in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory as well, but the XFX is just ahead of the Foxconn. The story is essentially the same with HDR turned on.
