Benchmarks - 3DMark

3DMark is the latest version of this hugely-popular synthetic benchmark. Making use of DX11 features such as tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading, it provides modern-day results and is available as a free download.

It's a hard school when the lowest-ranked card scores almost 9,000 marks at the default test. The closest competitor for the single card is the Radeon R9 290X. That GPU is almost 10 per cent faster than Palit's JetStream.

Adding a second card, thus increasing total budget to some Ā£800, pushes performance to way above what any single-GPU card can achieve. Though not as quick as the R9 295X2 - which, remember, is effectively two R9 290Xs on one board - performance is very sharp.
