SS2, running in OpenGL mode with user forced anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing, shows that being system limited is easily possible. The little Hercules is well equipped to keep pace with 9800XT here when softmodded.
With SS2 being a 3DMark 2001SE style of test, no shaders and multitexture heavy, 9800SE has no trouble keeping up with 9600XT either. The memory bandwidth is what matters here and it's what allows the performance parity. Hercules making use of the 256-bit version of 9800SE pays off.
