Battlefield 4

A game that needs no introduction, Battlefield 4 is the latest incarnation of DICE's epic first-person shooter.

Our gaming benchmarks begin with Battlefield 4, a title that in our experience tends to be particularly sensitive to core clock speeds. We know Gigabyte's GHz Edition can run up to 24 per cent faster than reference, so it's no surprise to find that in-game performance is able to jump by almost 20 per cent.

At a demanding 2,560x1,440 resolution, the super-clocked GTX 780 Ti is more than 30 per cent faster than an AMD Radeon R9 290X. Those custom-cooled and overclocked Radeons can't come soon enough.
