UT2003
Saving the best 'til last, we reckon. Unreal Tournament 2003 now. Flybys only.Too close to call in favour of a certain card.
A substantial drop in absolute FPS doesn't really affect the card's performance. The benchmark results may appear to infer that these cards make mincemeat out of this DX9 game, yet that's far from the case. Add in a few players and watch the frame-rate halve instantly.
Here seems to be one of the few occasions when the 128MB's of on-board memory becomes strangled to the point of not releasing the OTES' true potential. Compare the 56FPS to the 84FPS of the Ultra. The difference cannot be explained away through just pure clock speed advantage alone. 256MB of on-board memory isn't as silly as it at first sounds.
