Power, Temperature and Noise

High frequencies aren't always a good thing. Factory-overclocked cards tend to chew through more power, and KFA2's dual eight-pin connectors were a pretty big hint; the GTX 770 LTD OC is nowhere near as frugal as the reference design.

Keeping at or just below the 80ºC mark is the goal for most GTX 770s. KFA2's LTD OC manages to do so, but perhaps as a consequence of the heat wave we're experiencing, we did find the card's maximum GPU Boost frequency being dialled back to help keep temps in check.

There is one more caveat to be aware of. Those three fans do a decent job of keeping the underlying components running cool, but they're not the quietest solution. KFA2's card doesn't make a racket, but it is noticeably louder than the other GTX 770s we've tested.
