Quake 4 is kinder on S27, allowing the 700MHz S27 to outrun X1300 PRO at the common LCD resolution of 1280x1024 by 13%. NVIDIA's 6600 DDR2 takes the initial win.
MultiChrome, SLI and Crossfire
MultiChrome doesn't do anything for the 1024x768 performance, but increases 1280x1024 performance by 12%. But when you see SLI scaling at 30% at the same resolution with the 6600 DDR2 boards, and even a single 6600 DDR2 almost outrunning MultiChrome S27s, the merit to adding the 2nd S27 is gone.
