Bundle and Presentation

box

The Galaxy GeForce 7600 GS peeks through a cutout in a box that gives you almost all the info you need to check what's inside. The fact the board carries 256MiB of GDDR3 is advertised, as is the PCIe interconnect, DVI and HDTV output (more on that soon) options and the fact the board is SLI capable.

bundle

The manual is well written and easy to follow but it doesn't cover the dual BIOS function or SmartBuzzer and is mostly just a generic guide to graphics board installation, rather than anything tailored to the 7600 GS itself; the same applies to the Quick Installation guide pictured below, and we'd like to see Galaxy improve on these things.

The software CD came with a copy of Forceware 84.21 which supports the 7600 GS and a registry file that applies the coolbits and quicktweak settings for adjusting Forceware driver settings, including clocks. The on-CD manual mirrors what's supplied on paper.

bundle

The bundle bits include the BIOS switcher, DVI-to-VGA adaptor (just one though), video out-to-component adaptor for TV connection (which is why HDTV is on the box) and an S-Video cable. Just enough to get you connected to the board and using its dual BIOS feature, which helps keep costs down.

Summary

A light bundle but it's what the doctor ordered for the target market.
