Serious Sam 2 Intel Platform

Moving on to another of our staple gaming benchmark in Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. Run with normal settings to ensure that no anisotropic filtering was applied by default. The demo chosen is one that I think is fairly indicative of the game as whole. Sierra De Chiappas. Once again, we'll look at the Intel benchmarks first.

Nice scores from each and every card here. The demo seemed fluid at the taxing 1600x1200x32 resolution. I'm a little surprised that the only card with 64MB of on-board RAM (the others all sport 128MB) is able to keep up at the highest tested resolution. The game has some lovely textures that I was fairly sure would tax the card's memory once the going got tough. This doesn't seem to be bone out by the benchmarks.

We now see a familiar pattern developing in our charts. The ABIT and Albatron Turbo lead due to artificially increased clocks over the rest whilst the Gainward 750, presumed to be running at the same default clocks, nudges into third place. Interesting.
