Benchmarks - Just Cause 2

Review: HEXUS.net/qaxqb | Where2buy: amazon.co.uk

Just Cause 2 is one of the older titles in our suite and uses DX10 visuals. It's no longer cutting edge, but it's still a lot of fun and can be used to cross-reference older reviews.

Average fps performance

High-end cards munch through this game much as I munch through chocolate-covered Hobnobs. And guess what? The ASUS GTX 670 TOP, once again, at least matches the performance of a proper GTX 680. It's also considerably faster than a vanilla card, as the GPU Boosts nicely in this title.

Per-second performance

The green line - GTX 670 TOP - is consistently higher than the red line. Both setups can run at a 2,560x1,600 resolution without too much difficulty, mind.

That's more like it; almost all the GTX 670 TOP's frames are 20ms or less. Cutting to an exact number, 95th percentile is at a lovely 18.26ms. Yup, the game is very smooth at 2,560x1,600 on a GTX 670 TOP.

Strap a couple of GTX 560 TOPs together and they're not quite so effective. The 95th percentile, meaning 95 per cent of frames are rendered within this time, is reached at 21.73ms. The game feels very smooth on both setups.
