Battlefield 3 is one of the most popular PC games of the year and features breathtaking visuals and an absorbing multiplayer component.
What encourages consumers to go out and buy a new graphics card? The top answer has to be new games, and NVIDIA reckons Battlefield 3 will be a catalyst for hardware sales in the coming months.
With that in mind, the GTX 560 Ti 448 delivers strong 1080p performance with maximum image quality. Tweaking the in-game settings will allow you to play in excess of 40fps, and performance is almost on par with a full-fat GTX 570.
NVIDIA's line up has the edge in this title at 1080p, but move up to a 1600p resolution and the 2GB frame buffer available to AMD's Radeon HD 6970 and 6950 begins to prove its worth - though, you'd still need to lower image quality to achieve playable frame rates.
