Noise, plus overclocking
Two fans usually make significantly more noise than one, ceteris paribus, but XFX's spin at below 2,000rpm (67 per cent of max) when running the GPU-bashing Just Cause 2 test.
Overclocking
XFX's overclocking on the card is minimal, with just a 25MHz rise on the core. We set about righting this by cranking up speeds until failure and then throttling back a touch, resulting in a final speed of 985MHz core and 4,560MHz memory.
Battlefield 3 returned a HEXUS-overclocking score of 44.3fps, up from the shipping 41.7fps.
And the temps are good, too.
