A marked reduction in temperature usually results in an increase in noise, but that's not the case here. Gigabyte's WindForce-cooled card keeps quiet when idle, and its three fans are actually a touch quieter than a default GTX 580 under load.
Cool, quiet and quick, that's just the way we like it, and the cooling potential should bode well for overclocking...
