The consequence of greater out-the-box performance is a considerable jump in power consumption. Under load, Gigabyte's GTX 580 SOC consumes roughly 20 per cent more juice than a regular GTX 580.
Worth knowing about, but let's be honest, if you're buying a card with "Super Overclock" in its name, power consumption isn't going to be high on your list of priorities.
