Overclocking
MSI's 880MHz factory overclock is conservative. We know it, you know it, and MSI knows it.
How much further can the GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC actually go? Well, quite a bit. With the card's voltage bumped up from 1.012V to 1.075V via MSI's Afterburner utility, we were able to easily breeze past the magic 1,000MHz mark.
As shown in the screen grab above, we moved on up to a 1,020MHz core and 4,600MHz memory while maintaining stability. We were able to push Gigabyte's GTX 560 Ti SOC a little further in a recent review, but MSI's overclocking results are impressive nonetheless.
With the 1,020MHz/4,600MHz overclock in place, the MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II moves up the charts and offers GTX 570-like performance in Aliens vs. Predator.
The overclock has a similar effect in Just Cause 2, propelling MSI's Ā£215 card up past stock-clocked GTX 570 and close to Radeon HD 6970.
