Temperatures and power-draw

The cooler is rather small for what is a mid-range GPU. The whiny fan does a reasonable job of pushing away the heat, but the temperatures are significantly higher than produced by the larger heatsink on the Radeon HD 5670. Overall temperatures are well within the GPU's limits, however.

Power-draw

Radeon 5570 exhibits very good under-load power-draw characteristics, saving some 15W when under load when compared to the HD 5670. Given how much emphasis AMD has placed on the idle power-draw, it's a little surprising not to see it win that test, as well.
