The large cooler does a good job in keeping the GT 240 (codenamed GT215, funnily enough) cool under load. The numbers are significantly better than the BFG's, but bear in mind that the GPU is rated to a 105°C TDP.

System-wide power consumption

Power consumption is fairly similar to all but the faster GTS 250, which is hewn from a power-hungry high-end architecture.

Overclocking

We raised the shipping 600MHz/1,340MHz/3,600MHz clocks to 635MHz/1,418MHz/4,160MHz and, based on the five tested games, gained an average of 4.6 per cent extra performance at the 1,680x1,050 setting.
