Test Setup

I chose the 3 most popular graphics benchmarks around at the moment namely:

Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament and 3Dmark 2000

To see how these cards will perform in different systems I have done benchmarks, on my computer, at various different speeds, my Athlon T-Bird processor will happily run at between 700Mhz and 1300Mhz, so I've used this as the basis for the review

AMD Athlon T-Bird @ 1300Mhz 12.5 * 104Mhz

AMD Athlon T-Bird @ 700Mhz 7*100Mhz

The Basic benchmarks setup is as follows.

Abit KT7 RAID
256MB Crucial PC133 RAM CAS 2
AMD Athlon T-Bird 1000Mhz FOP38 Heatsink
2* IBM Telesto 30.7 GIG ATA 100 Drives in RAID 0
Soundblaster Live 1024
Adaptec SCSI Card
Plextor 32 Speed SCSI CD ROM
19" CTX monitor
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer Optical
Microsoft Natural Keyboard

I used Win98 SE, with VIA 4in 1 patch version 4.25a, available here using the Official detonator 6.31 drivers available here, to enable overclocking I used the Nvidia coolbits registry file.
