3DMark Time Spy
Rendered at QHD or UHD resolutions and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a modern 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in today's latest games.
Like the Inno3D card we looked at just before this, the changes in driver explain why this model is slower than the Founder Edition, even though it has a higher reported boost clock.
Perusing the logs highlights the XC3 Ultra averages around 1,840MHz boost in games, compared with 1,930MHz for the FE and 2,000MHz or so for the MSI on the older driver. The 456.71 driver is tempering core frequency to a larger degree.
EVGA uses a restrained cooling solution compared to some. Even so, it's excellent at keeping solid run-to-run consistency.
