Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2 is a fairly shader-heavy test of a card's pixel shader ability, when you're not CPU limited. These boards aren't.

HL2 NoIQ

Both boards are happy up to 800x600, remaining very playable. 1024x768 is more of a struggle for the 6200, which is behind the ATI hardware at all times. Of course the game doesn't really look good at low resolutions, so what about if we turn on some IQ enhancing settings?

HL2 IQ

I had a good time playing a bit of Half-Life 2 at 800x600 with 2xAA and 4xAF on the HyperMemory board. I was most comfortable playing at 640x480 on the NVIDIA hardware. In our benchmark scene, using Simple Reflection does nothing to help performance, although it does help in the larger outdoor scenes were there's a lot of water to navigate your way around.
