Overclocking

Given our limited time with the review sample, and the fact that MSI's own Afterburner doesn't yet support all of Lightning Z's voltage adjustments, we've chickened out and reverted to Precision X1's built-in Scanner Tool to help determine an optimal frequency curve.

As expected, don't let the factory overclock fool you into thinking there's no room to push further. After a few minutes of scanning, our GPU was configured to a boost clock of 1,857MHz, and memory had no issues running at an effective 16Gbps.

These are the highest results we've seen from any card to date, and we suspect more adventurous overclockers will go a step or two further with ease.
