Power, Temperature and Noise

Ey up, what's going on here? RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z has appeared superlative up until now, but it does have weak points.

As intimated by the Stress Test earlier in the review, MSI is pushing the GPU to such an extreme that power consumption has risen dramatically, resulting in more heat and noise. Our logs reveal that fan speed had to eventually climb to almost 3,500rpm in order to keep temperature to 83ºC, but in doing so, our test platform becomes noticeably loud.

It is worth pointing out that our test system is configured for quiet operation by default - switching the fans on the be quiet! chassis from low to high does help bring down both temperature and noise. Still, we can't help but feel as though liquid cooling would be better suited to a GPU running at these speeds.
