Half-Life 2

The HEXUS Prison Half-Life 2 benchmark graph bears striking similarity to 3DMark05's. It's a game that thrives on CPU grunt. Our test system's Athlon 64 FX-53 provides plenty of it. 1280x1024, the PNY Verto's target resolution for modern games, is smooth as proverbial silk when in-game options are turned up to max.

Once again, Half-Life 2, much like 3DMark05, fails to run when set to 1600x1200 4x AA/8x AF on the two 128MB NVIDIA-based cards. The highest setting is dropped to 2x AA 4x AF. The PNY card's target I.Q setting, then, should be something along the lines of 1280x1024 2x AA/8x AF. Perfectly acceptable for most folks.
