Synthetic 3DMark numbers are one thing, but is the Iris Pro 6200 really able to drive modern games at a full-HD 1080p resolution? Short answer: yes. Long answer: the likes of Grand Theft Auto V, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Total War: Rome II are all playable using the Core i7-5775C's integrated graphics, but you need to sacrifice a lot in terms of image quality in order to maintain smooth framerates.

Said titles don't look great with all the eye-candy dialled down to low/medium, but progress is progress and there's no denying that Intel's desktop IGP is the quickest going. AMD has lost the APU's one true claim to fame, though, to be fair, the A10-7870K is a heck of a lot cheaper than the new Core i7.
